The scheme will introduce a new parallel zebra crossing outside Hurst Knoll St James Primary School, alongside complementary infrastructure such as side road treatments, footway widening, and physical traffic calming measures to support the existing 20mph speed limit.

A public consultation ran between 24^th March – 21^st April 2025.  The feedback obtained through this consultation will be reviewed to inform the next stage of the scheme development. 

The scheme requires the removal of 3 street trees.  The council has a duty to consult the public on the removal of these trees.  The consultation ran between 24^th March – 21^st April 2025 and included a formal public notice, which set out the notice to fell these trees under the Environment Act 2021.  Please find a copy of the public notice here:  Ladbrooke Road – Tree Felling Notice
