Household Support Fund

The Household Support Fund, provided by UK Government, for the period 1 April 2024 to 30 September 2024 is now taking applications.

All applicants are required to book an appointment to discuss the support available.

There are a limited number of appointments available each week and these are bookable on a first come basis to households with a low income.

How to apply:

You can apply to book an appointment every Tuesday only, from 8.30am, through the following options:

  • In person at Customer Services, Tameside One (above Ashton Library), Market Ground, Ashton-Under-Lyne, OL6 0GS
  • By phoning 0161 342 3388.

Once the maximum number of appointments to make an application are taken for the week, we will be unable to accept any further appointments until the following week.

When an appointment has been booked to make an application, you will be required to provide the following documents at your appointment to progress with your application:

  • Proof of income – e.g. Universal Credit Breakdown
  • Last 3 months consecutive bank statements
  • Details of your income and expenditure to support your application.

A payment of £100 will be made to a single person household and a payment of £200 will be made to couples or households with children.
