Tameside's Young Person Drop Ins
The Employment and Skills team run a ‘Young Person ‘s Drop In’ on a Wednesday afternoon 1pm-4pm. This event is aimed at 16-24 year olds with a focus on our Looked After Children and Care Leaver’s but any young person is welcome.
The drop-in exists to provide information and support on Employment, Training and Education. Every week, there are a variety of training providers and professionals on hand to offer support and advice in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Job Centre Plus - Youth Work Coach
Support young people with their Universal Credit and explore training/job opportunities
Future You
FutureYou is a personalised programme designed to support people aged between 18 and 24 years old who are not in education, employment or training. It provides a mix of practical and wellbeing support with a dedicated mentor helping young people in.
Youth Employment Support
Youth Employment Support 'YES' team will be on hand to support care leavers into sustainable employment and training. They work with many employers who understand the barriers some of our YP face and are happy to give them the opportunity to build their confidence and skillset.
Ashton Sixth Form College
Ashton Sixth Form College -Ashton Sixth Form College Higher and Adult Education - Courses for adults age 19+.

FutureYou
| FutureYou – Helping unemployed, young people aged 18-24 progress into education, employment or training Young people will be quickly assigned a mentor who will be their primary contact during the FutureYou programme. The mentor will dedicate time to them to understand current circumstances, goals and any concerns young people may have. Young people will have weekly contact and monthly reviews with their mentor to ensure they have the support needed to keep progressing. Together with their mentor, young people will create a personalised plan of action to help move into the education, training or employment that’s right for them. Every step counts, with constant opportunities to review and track progress and achievements; and make any changes that are needed along the way. To refer young people please use this link |
