Tameside Food Partnership and the Tameside Good Food Plan:

Our vision is to work in partnership with public, private and voluntary sectors and communities in Tameside to create a food environment, system and culture that promotes health, stimulates the local economy, benefits communities and reduces environmental impact.

We are a Partnership made up of members from across the public, voluntary and private sectors in Tameside. Members include local food business and organisations, Public Health, Welfare Rights, Foodbanks, Food Pantries, Waste Management Department within TMBC, Tameside Integrated Care Foundation Trust, Tameside College, local food growers, Be Well Tameside, the Children’s Nutrition Team and so on…

The Tameside Food Partnership works towards Tameside’s aims to be a place where everyone can access good quality, healthy, affordable food; where we enjoy a healthy diet and where the food in the borough is produced and sourced locally and responsibly; in turn this supports the local economy and helps to sustain the environment.
