Tameside Maternal and Early Years Healthy Weight Surveys
Tameside Council
Achieving and maintaining a healthy weight during the maternal and early years is a critical public health objective. This life stage sets the foundation for future health, with well-established links between maternal nutrition, infant growth, and long-term physical and mental wellbeing.

The NHS Long Term Plan brings recognition to this issue, setting out commitments to “provide targeted support to families and children at risk of obesity” and to invest in “a more intensive approach to supporting healthy weight in children from birth to adulthood”.

These surveys will help improve knowledge and support around healthy weight during pregnancy and early childhood.

Tameside Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy 2025-2030
Tameside Council
We are seeking your views on Tameside’s draft Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy for 2025-2030.

The Homelessness Act 2002 requires local housing authorities to take strategic responsibility for tackling and preventing homelessness. Tameside Council’s approach is set out in this draft Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy.

We have undertaken a thorough review of homelessness in Tameside and used its findings to shape this draft strategy. Our strategy sets out how we aim to prevent and reduce homelessness in Tameside and provide support to those affected by it.

Our vision is that over the lifetime of the strategy, and through cooperation with stakeholders, communities, and decision makers, we can work towards making homelessness in all its forms rare, brief, and non-recurrent in Tameside.

Tameside Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Survey
Tameside Council

Residents, businesses, and potential service users are invited to take part in a public consultation aimed at supporting the growth of Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (EVI) in Tameside.

The consultation aims to speed up the rollout of charging points for electric and hybrid vehicles, supporting the council’s ambition to be Net Zero by 2038.

A significant focus of the strategy is making use of the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) Fund, through which Tameside has been allocated £1.3 million.

Tameside Council declared a climate emergency in February 2020, and moving to Electric Vehicles (EVs) is a key step in meeting reduced emissions targets.

Responses to the consultation will provide valuable insight into priorities, preferred locations, and potential barriers for the EVI Strategy. The council aims to address the needs of all residents in the borough, including elderly residents and those with disabilities.

Corporate Enforcement Strategy consultation Tameside Council

We are asking for your views on our draft Corporate Enforcement Strategy. There is a legal background in the way that we use or enforcement powers; the Regulators Code provides a clear framework for enforcement authorities to work to. The code includes how we develop and implement our own enforcement Policies and Strategies what must be included and aims to demonstrate to the public and other stakeholders that, in taking such decisions, that there is proportionality in our actions, consistency in our approach and transparency in the process.

This draft Enforcement Strategy aims to ensure that businesses, residents and other stakeholders know what to expect from us and as required by the Regulators Code, that we consult with those we regulate in relation to the strategy, policy and guidance that we produce.

We want to make sure that this Enforcement Strategy is clear and that businesses and other stakeholders understand it. We therefore welcome your views on the draft Strategy.
