What is Anxiety? Anxiety is a feeling of worry or fear that can be strong and overwhelming. It's like your brain is on high alert, even if there's no real danger. Everyone feels anxious sometimes, but when it happens a lot, it can be tough to handle.

What Does Anxiety Feel Like? Anxiety can feel different for everyone, but here are some common signs:

  • Physical Feelings: Your heart might race, you could feel sweaty, shaky, or have a stomachache.
  • Thoughts: You might worry a lot about things that could go wrong or feel like you can't stop thinking about something.
  • Emotions: You might feel scared, nervous, or like you want to avoid certain situations.

What Can You Do to Deal with Anxiety? Here are some tips to help you manage anxiety:

  1. Talk to Someone: Sharing your feelings with a friend, family member, or teacher can help you feel better.
  2. Breathe Deeply: Taking slow, deep breaths can calm your body and mind.
  3. Stay Active: Exercise, like walking, playing sports, or dancing, can reduce anxiety.
  4. Do Something You Enjoy: Hobbies like drawing, reading, or playing games can distract you and make you feel happier.
  5. Stay Positive: Try to focus on good things and remind yourself that you can handle tough situations.
  6. Get Enough Sleep: A good night's sleep can make a big difference in how you feel.
