Winter flu vaccination events to be held across Tameside
Tameside residents can receive their flu vaccination at one of several clinics being run by Stalybridge Primary Care Network (PCN) this winter.
The PCN have organised a series of walk-in sessions and appointments both at their Stalybridge hub and various locations across Tameside, such as Crownpoint Shopping Park in Denton, Sainsburys in Ashton, Mossley Market, Active Tameside centres across the borough, and Morrisons in Dukinfield, Hyde and Denton.

Most sessions offer the adult injectable vaccination for all adults eligible for vaccination on the NHS, with some also offering the pre-school nasal spray vaccination for children aged two and three years.
People are being urged to take the opportunity to get their flu vaccination to protect themselves and those around them. Vaccination can reduce the risk of becoming seriously unwell, needing hospital treatment, and spreading flu to vulnerable people.
The Stalybridge PCN sessions are one of many ways residents can receive their vaccination. They can also book a flu vaccine through their own GP practice, community pharmacy, or the NHS App and website.
For the 2026/27 flu season, NHS vaccination is available to people at higher risk, including:
those aged 65 and over
pregnant women
children aged two and three years
school-aged children
people with certain long-term health conditions
care home residents
and other eligible groups
If residents are unsure whether they are eligible, they should contact their GP practice or speak to a healthcare professional.
Tameside Council’s First Deputy and Executive Member for Population Health and Wellbeing, Cllr Michael Smith said: "Stalybridge PCN’s mobile outreach clinics are a fantastic way of reaching residents from all across Tameside.
“Getting your flu vaccination is crucial to protect those most at risk of serious illness and reduce pressure on health and care services during the winter months.
“I’d encourage anyone who is able to attend one of the clinics to do so, it’s a quick process with a meaningful impact.”
