You Said We Did - Supporting Children and Families with SEND
We asked about the strengths, weakness and opportunities to improve the SEND support offer for children and families with SEND in Tameside
From the responses gathered, themes identified have been drawn out:
A recognition that local support groups within the community can vastly support a family with advice, provide activity and enable social connection.
The workforce working with CYP need to be better equipped (ie. enhanced or additional training) to support a wide range of SEND needs, as well as improved communication between partner organisations and parents/ carers.
The themes where reported in the SEND Joint Strategic Needs Assessment which is informing the SEND Strategy
