You Said, We Did - Anti Social Behaviour Policy Consultation
Tameside Council launched this consultation in order to seek the views of the public in relation to the introduction of an Anti-Social Behaviour Policy for the Local Authority.
The catalyst for the formation of this policy was following a response to an Ombudsman complaint where the Council were advised to produce a policy available for public consumption.
The policy provides the baseline for how the council will handle reports of anti-social behaviour.
The consultation received 29 responses.
There were no specific themes identified in terms of responses provided. In terms of what was provided there was a mixture of positive and negative comments. There were also some comments that provided current observations around what the person perceived as anti-social behaviour.
A comment made around what the council would consider a high, medium, standard rating of a complaint.
A comment made about automatic acknowledgements being sent to those making a report.
The ‘Report It’ number needs to be on the anti-social behaviour online page
This assessment is contained within the internal working instructions that the anti-social behaviour service adhere to in receiving and investigating complaints.
This is already in action. If a person makes a report to the anti-social behaviour service e-mail inbox, they will receive an automated response informing them that their e-mail has been received.
Details of how to report anti-social behaviour are provided on the webpage
