If you're a young person looking for work, or an employer interested in investing in local talent, then there is plenty of help and support available to you.
You can find information about training and upskilling here.
Tameside Futures
Tameside Futures support NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) young people aged 16-18, into and towards education, employment and training. They help young people to boost their confidence and skill base, showing each young person what they can achieve. The scheme works one on one with young people, and also provides a range of group activities, including collaborations with local training providers. They have a range of incentives for both participants and employers to generate opportunities for young people.
If you're a young person or business you can find out more here, or email the team at tamesidefutures@tameside.gov.uk.
Youth Employment Support
Youth Employment Support (YES) is a scheme designed to help young people aged 15-25, who might otherwise struggle to find employment, get into work. YES offers 6-month work placements which are fully funded by the council. That means no cost to the business for the first 6 months!
If you're an employer looking to benefit your business and support young people, then you can find out more here or email the team at tamesidefutures@tameside.gov.uk.
