Veteran's Lapel Badge
War widows in receipt of a war pension are also eligible for the badge which is issued free of charge through the Veterans Agency.
People that served during the Second World War (1939-1945) in the Cyprus Regiment, Home Guard and Polish Forces under UK Command are also entitled to have and wear the veteran’s badge.
The aim of the badge is to create a sense of identity among veterans of all ages and for this reason it is not issued posthumously.
If you think you are eligible for a veteran’s lapel badge call the Curator of the Museum of the Manchester Regiment for the application forms or visit: www.gov.uk/apply-medal-or-veterans-badge/apply-for-a-veterans-badge
