Housing for Over 55s

If you’re over 55 and eligible for care and support, extra care is an affordable housing option that can provide 24-hour support to live independently in your own flat with your own front door. 

Staff are on-site 24/7 for peace of mind, you can ask them to help with things like washing, dressing, going to the toilet or taking medication. 

There are often communal spaces to socialise with other people who live there for examples community spaces, a bistro or café, beauty salons and laundry rooms. 

There are currently 4 schemes across Tameside with Creative Support as onsite providers offering 24-hour support.
