ST JOHN FISHER RC PRIMARY SCHOOL
Proposal to close the non-teaching Resource Base at St John Fisher RC Primary School Denton
NOTICE IS GIVEN in accordance with section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 that the Council is consulting on prescribed alterations to the Resource Base at St John Fisher RC Primary School Manor Road Denton M34 7SW
At the request of governors, a proposal is now open to consultation to close the non-teaching Autistic Spectrum Disorder Resource Base at St John Fisher RC Primary School, Manor Road Denton to new pupils / admissions with effect from 1 September 2025.
The current provision is for up to 10 pupils where the pupils are on roll at the mainstream school. It is proposed that a phased closure commencing from 1st September 2025 is implemented which will allow current students to complete their education at St John Fisher RC Primary School.
The Council is currently reviewing the need for specialist places across the borough and additional needs for pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder is being considered as part of this work.
