We have a wide range of resources available for those who wish to trace their family history, including census returns, parish and nonconformist registers, monumental inscriptions, indexes to wills, records of local business and organisations and free access to the internet, including free access to Link to External Website and Find My Past Link to External Website.

Free advice sessions run by the Cheshire Family History Society are held 2pm - 4pm on the first and third Tuesday of every month. 

Free one-to-one help and advice with online sources is also provided in the Local Studies and Archives Centre by the Family History Advice volunteers.
